All through Freshers Week, your Residence Life Assistants (RLAs) will be visiting your flats to introduce themselves, bring you some goodies and answer any questions you may have.
You can expect the RLAs to visit you at some point:
- Monday 22nd - Thursday 25th September between 6pm and 9pm
- Saturday 27th September between 12pm and 7pm
What they'll do
The RLAs have access to the main entrance doors to all the buildings but not your flats/houses, so they will knock on your front door when they arrive. When you answer, they can either talk to you at the door or in the kitchen so the whole flat can listen!
You will have the poster above pinned on the noticeboard in your kitchen. The RLAs will talk you through this and let you know what our team does and how we can support you throughout the year.
They will be leaving you with some discount vouchers for local businesses that we have secured for you throughout the summer. They can also answer any questions you may have about university life. Not sure how to work the oven or where to pick up your ID card? They'll probably have the answer or can direct you to the right team to get it!
After the first flat chat, the RLAs will visit you a few more times throughout the academic year to bring around some goodies and check in to see how you are settling in to university life.
