It's time to get recycling and win the top prize!

This year we are officially launching our Recycling League in partnership with Biffa!

The aim of the game is simple. All you have to do is recycle... but which hall will do it the best!?

Each hall of residence will have their recycling sorted, weighed and checked by Biffa and the hall with the best quality recycling will be crowned as winners of the league and win a prize and event for their hall.

We will be sending out reminders to you throughout the year, so make sure to get your flat involved and get sorting that recycling!

Leaders from the first term will be announced in January and overall winners for the year will be announced in May!

For each term, we will host a prize celebration event including food, eco friendly reusable prizes and some memberships to Green Squirrel's online platform 'Climate Village'.

We know that recycling is super important...

• It helps us look after our natural environment. Through recycling, we are reducing the amount of waste ending up in landfill, which is crucial for a small country like Wales!
• Creating less waste leads to less pollution, reduced strain on natural habitats, and a healthier environment for current and future generations.
  
• Recycling materials like paper, glass and metals reduces the need to extract new raw materials.
  
• Recycling reduces greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change.
