Eid al-Fitr Mubarak!

What is it?

It is a celebratory event observed by millions of Muslims around the world.

Eid Al-Fitr, in Arabic, means “festival of the breaking of the fast” to mark the end of Ramadan (the month of fasting).

How is it celebrated?

Eid can be celebrated in different ways depending on cultural practices. However, most Muslims begin the day early, by praying a special congregational. This is usually prayed with other people and families.

The rest of the day is mainly spent with family, enjoying delicious meals and engaging in various activities to celebrate the joyous day.

When is it celebrated?

The Islamic calendar uses the moon’s cycle to determine its months. Once the first sighting of the crescent moon is determined (by religious leaders)– Eid is declared the next morning.

On Eid, Muslims greet each other with “Eid Mubarak”.

ResLife wishes everyone celebrating a joyous and prosperous Eid!
