Summerland (2020) is a heartwarming story about an abrasive recluse, Alice Lamb, who is made to take on an evacuee, Frank. As the Second World War rages on Alice and Franks bond grows while they spend their summer days searching for the pagan heaven ‘Summerland’. When tragedy strikes, Alice is forced to confront the ghosts of her past if she is to save Frank.  

This feel-good film is a love letter to queerness, friendship, grief and the English seaside. It is a perfect watch for anyone wishing for spring to come quicker!
