Come along for a trip to Penarth pier and enjoy the views!

This trip to Cardiff Bay and Penarth is the first event in the Hike & Seek event series. Hike & Seek focuses on the healthy body aspect of a healthy living lifestyle where students will be encouraged to explore nature, places and adopt walking as a healthy habit. We will be using public transport so that the students can be aware of how to visit the place by themselves should they choose to do so. If public transport is being used, students are required to purchase their own tickets for the same unless specified otherwise. The agenda for this trip is as follows:

13:30-14:00- Rendezvous near Pettigrew Tea rooms-Bute Park at 13:30

14:00-14:30 -Take the Aquabus boat from Cardiff Castle at 14:00, reach Mermaid Quay by 14:30.

14:30-16:00-Walk to Penarth pier along Cardiff Bay, reach by 16:00 or earlier. Because we would be clicking photographs and stopping on the way, it might take us an hour and a half.

16:00- 17:00- Spend time at Penarth pier, walk through Alexandra Park, visit Penarth war memorial.

17:00-18:00 – Get to Penarth railway station and get the train back to Queen Street where South Campus residents and RLAs depart. Others will change trains to get to Cathays where the event will end.
