Where to find halal groceries!

Cardiff has a vast number of places to buy Halal groceries from poultry to deli meats. In general, the UK's main official certifier of halal food is the Halal Monitoring Committee and anything verified by them will be labelled as HMC certified. However, most foods are not HMC certified but are still halal, often verified by different monitoring bodies from overseas. Doing research into these and their methods for producing Halal meat and chicken is important to make sure they align with your personal beliefs. Here listed is a few popular locations to buy halal food. Most of these offer raw meat and chicken as well as ready made items such as burger patties and chicken nuggets. 

Asda, Sainsbury, Morrisons, Tesco

Common large supermarkets tend to stock lots of different types of halal food including kebabs, nuggets, minced meat, chicken breast, sausages and more. These are always labelled as 'Halal' on the packaging either in English or Arabic (حلال) Common brands include 'Tahira,' 'Najma,' 'Humza,' 'Shazans,' and 'Tariq Halal.'
