Walks & cycling routes
One of the perks of living in Cardiff is its beautiful walking and cycling routes. If you are planning to walk, always expect it to rain. The weather in Cardiff is very confusing, so do not assume that it will not rain. Whenever I feel like taking a break from studying or simply to relax, I go for a walk. Walking almost anywhere in Cardiff is amazing, but there are several places that stand out. If you prefer to cycle, there are wonderful cycle routes too!
Walking:
1. Ely Trail (7 miles/ 11.2km)
2. Rumney Trail (2.3 miles/ 3.6km)
3. St. Fagan’s Circular Walk (2 miles/ 3km)
Cycling Paths:
1. Cardiff Castle to Cardiff Bay Barrage
2. Roath Park to Caerphilly Castle
3. Heath High Level to The Vanilla Pod Coffee Bar
