Message to the students in your Residence: Welcome to Cardiff University, and welcome especially to Talybont! I moved here in my first year and I can certainly promise you a year full of community, fighting silverfish with your flatmates & lots of sun in Bute park. Of course, we all have off days, weeks or more; so if you're ever feeling lonely, or are just looking for something to do to fill your day, find one of us dressed in bright red and say hello! And for the queer and neurodiverse students, know I'm always around for a chat and to give you suggestions for the gayest nightlife!

Message to the students in your Residence: Starting university and moving into residence is a major transition and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of excitement and nerves. Manage things bit by bit, and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Get involved in activities, meet new people, and create a routine that works for you. Remember to balance your studies with self-care whether that means taking breaks, staying connected with loved ones, or finding a quiet spot to recharge. The RLA team is here to support you, so together we can make this experience rewarding, fun, and memorable!

Message to the students in your Residence:  Some people say that going to uni was the best time of their life. I think this is dumb. Going to uni can be super fun but it can also be very lonely and scary. Don't put pressure on yourself to be constantly having the best time, and never feel afraid of reaching out for help. Also try not to get scurvy.

Message to the students in your Residence: Welcome to Talybont! As a former resident of Taly Court, I can confirm that you are in the best student residence area! Taly is the perfect mix of social and chill, with town only being 20 minutes away, you are never far from something to do. If you’re feeling nervous in the beginning, don’t worry, so was I. Being nervous is perfect normal and here at Taly you will soon make friends as there are plenty of places to go and activities to do to meet new people.
