Feeling peckish? Look no further! Here’s our complete guide of where to eat in the Students’ Union! We’ll explore all the food Cardiff University has to offer, leaving you hungry for more 😊

1. The Taf

Kicking off with a student favourite, The Taf holds memories for everyone at Cardiff University. Serving a range of affordable classic pub food with plenty of vegan options, from burgers and wraps to vegan dirty fries, there’s something for all. Download the CUSU App to view their full menu and check out their themed days for brilliant offers.

Our top tips: Every Sunday you’ll find the legendary Sunday Carvery, serving a selection of meat and veggie roasts and unlimited self-serve vegetables! A must try during your time at Cardiff University. The Taf also does a cracking Christmas dinner – keep up to date with these events on the CUSU website and their social media channels.

2. Breatos @breatos

After the glorious days of being a fresher and getting your £1 burrito voucher when you moved into student accommodation, Breatos remains a popular student outlet for all. Over 20,000 freshly-made burritos are sold every year and each burrito is packed full of all your favourite toppings and selections!

Our top tips: If you live further away from Cathays Park campus, you can find Breatos on Deliveroo, Just Eat and UberEats. Look out for their Taco Tuesday offers and if you’re feeling extra hungry, their monster burrito is 3x the size of the classic!

3. The Falafel House @thefalafelhouse

Every time you walk past The Falafel House the aroma of deliciously fresh falafel fills the air. This outlet always delivers on taste, quality and cost-effectiveness. As stated on their website, they pride themselves on ‘fresh and exciting flavours, whilst promoting healthy, vegetarian food’. Aside from the falafel wraps and boxes, they also serve plenty of sides including loaded nachos and skinny fries.

Our top tips: The Falafel House has a wide range of different toppings and sauces for your falafel, try a different combo each time you visit! Look out for their special offers which make great affordable lunch options when saving money. They can also be found on Deliveroo and UberEats.

4. The Bagel Place

Love bagels? The Bagel Place has got you covered with all the sweet and savoury bagels you could ever dream of. With the classics, all day breakfast bagels, bagel sandwiches and lite bites there’s plenty more selections than you would think.

Our top tips: Look out for the £1 bagel voucher at the start of the year to try the bagels out. Although The Bagel Place is available on delivery services, pop in store for the chance to meet their awesome dogs, Cookie, Peanut and Biscuit!
